Cabinet instructs strengthening cyber security

The Cabinet has directed the concerned to give more emphasis on cyber security in the Cabinet meeting. Apart from this, the project sanctioned for the next submarine cable has been directed to complete the work expeditiously. And the gas and oil pipelines that have been taken, have been asked to finish the work soon and ensure the supply. The directive was given in an unscheduled discussion at the regular meeting of the cabinet on Monday. This directive was given in a meeting held in the Prime Minister's Office presided over by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Outgoing Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam announced this decision in a press conference at the Secretariat in the afternoon. The Cabinet Secretary said that the Cabinet meeting has asked to give more emphasis on cyber security. The issue of security of national database has also been asked to be looked at very seriously. In response to questions from journalists, the Cabinet Secretary said that the matter has been being looked at for two to three years. Now the matter has been asked to emphasize more and ensure modern materials. In no way can the website or any other thing be hacked. It has also been said that digital banking management will be gradually completed by ensuring security.
